Wembley Family Medical Practice is a privately owned and private billing practice.

Same day payment is required, however our Reception Staff are happy to process your payment immediately and arrange for your Medicare Refund to be refunded directly to the bank account you have nominated with Medicare.  Your refund will usually be received within 48 hours, reducing your out of pocket expenses.

All consultations on a Saturday morning are now by appointment only.   Please note that all consultations on a Saturday morning are Privately billed regardless of concessional status.

There are some consultations that are not eligible to be claimed from Medicare.  These include:
 • Workers’ Compensation
 • Insurance Medicals
 • Pre-Employment Medical Examinations
 • Consultations for patients not covered by Medicare

Bulk Billing

We offer bulk billing for eligible patients, just bring your card to your appointment.

Patients who hold a current Government issued Concession or Pension Card and patients under the age of 16 will be bulk billed.  This means that the entire cost of your consultation will be paid by Medicare to the doctor who has attended to your care.  Patients eligible for Bulk Billing must sign the appropriate assignment form before leaving the practice.
