
Dr. Tim Smith

Dr. Tim Smith is a very experienced General Practitioner with deep roots in the local community of Perth and Busselton. Educated locally and in Busselton, he continued his academic journey at the University of Western Australia, where he graduated in 1993. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Smith pursued postgraduate training and achieved membership in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
In 1999, Dr. Smith joined Wembley Family Medical Practice where he has embraced the diverse challenges of general family practice, demonstrating a genuine passion for patient well-being and health.
Dr. Smith has a specialised interest in the management of metabolic health. His focus lies in exploring nutritional approaches to chronic diseases, with a particular emphasis on traditional low carbohydrate healthy fat (LCHF) lifestyles. His expertise encompasses Paleo diets, low carbohydrate diets, ketogenic diets, and carnivore diets. Dr. Smith aims to empower his patients with effective and sustainable strategies for managing their health.
Dr. Smith enjoys various medical procedures, including skin excisions, Implanon insertion and removal, and iron infusions, providing a comprehensive range of services to his patients.
Dr. Smith has been a resident of the Wembley community for over 30 years with his three adult children all attending school locally. He has witnessed the growth and evolution of the area, forging strong connections with his patients.
Away from the practice Dr Smith finds joy in music and sound engineering and he has an affinity for all things geeky. Additionally, he enjoys the therapeutic aspects of gardening and the creativity involved in cooking.
